When this blog first began, it featured all things quilty and was titled Art From The Heart. Years go by, interests morph, horizons expand, and all of a sudden you realize you are a quilter, yes...but also a spinner, weaver, knitter, crocheter, mixed media, fiber artist. The art is still from the heart, but the new name reflects my excitement with all things fiber! It's Fantabulous!

Pincushions, Trial Batch
As I have mentioned before, I am EASILY sidetracked by new ideas, fun tutorials, informative shows...So, when I stumbled upon an episode of Simply Quilts while researching pin cushions, I just had to try that method of blender for the wool and dryer for the felting of the balls of wool. Now what? Rummaged through my plethora of doodads and came up with some pretty ribbon. Decided to sacrifice a wee bit of my just-purchased wool roving and delved into my late grandmother's button tin. I filled the wool square base with bird grit for ballast and for sharpening of needles. I 'tied' the wet blendered wool with rubber bands to make grooves in the finished product. It was a lot of fun.
Pincushions-$7 plus actual shipping costs. Email weber.lindy@gmail.com for more info.
