When this blog first began, it featured all things quilty and was titled Art From The Heart. Years go by, interests morph, horizons expand, and all of a sudden you realize you are a quilter, yes...but also a spinner, weaver, knitter, crocheter, mixed media, fiber artist. The art is still from the heart, but the new name reflects my excitement with all things fiber! It's Fantabulous!
I completed 'Reflections', but now need to find a mat and frame to bring it to 'tadah'!
You see purples and blues behind these projects because I am multi-tasking big time right now. When I do that the design wall becomes a vertical 'pile'!
Thank you, Mainer. Yes, you are right! Photo on canvas, but this time I thread painted every single speck of it. It has the heft, feel and look of tapestry. I have a frame that looks perfect with it, but it is too small. The hunt is on for the same/similar frame, only larger. I am going to the 'city' soon and am excited to be able to mat shop!
I love both these project but especially Reflections. Is that a photo on canvas?
