Legacy

I am passionate about getting outdoors; to the lake to fish, see all the animals, fish and birds, to swim between 'bites'...This wall hanging shows photos I took of these things, printed on fabric, 'framed' in batiks, and hung the whole thing from my Dad's first fishing pole (also mine!) and all held together with fishing lures, line, sinkers, swivels, beads, buttons and even bells!

Poetry + Art + Quilt = Still Life With Words

This little 8 1/2'' x 11'' quilt is for a challenge I am entering. I love the merging of my writing and quilting!

Amish Rainbow

Just a little Amish style rendered in my hand dyed fabrics.

Moonrise

This quilt was salvaged from an attempt years ago to adhere the initial scene onto a t-shirt. Um...didn't work, as it made the shirt so stiff the shoulders stood out from my body like a football player's shoulder pads! The dark blue shore line is all that remains of the t-shirt. I added more trees, the sparkling night dark sky and quilted lightly. Looks much better on a wall than on me!

Art Heart

Heart done in Watercolor Style. My business and blog logo. Personal collection.

Patriotic Dimensional Bow Tie

Baby Bow Tie-Patriotic!

Sun Bonnet Sue

Personal Collection
This little quilt is a special treasure to me. My Mom did all the embroidery for me-I just had to come up with how to showcase her beautiful work! The setting squares are a commercial fabric with tiny and colorful Sun Bonnet Girls on it-perfect!

Purple

My hand dyes and commercial batiks/fabric.

Sunset

No curves to piece! All straight lines, sewn at angles to appear curved. Very nifty trick.
Sunset Landscape wall quilt.

Ducklings

Just a simple 'cheater quilt', but very happy, bright baby ducks.

Dimensional Bow Tie

The center of the bow tie is pieced in so it rises above quilt. Great little boy quilt! His first bow tie!

"Rag Baby Blankets"

I love the chenille look, but this many layers of flannels is hard on sewing machines and needles!
