Simplicity

"Simplicity" is a focus on one feather from the swan picture. Same foundation and method...I am planning to do the eggs next, therefore creating a triptych.

Lullaby

My swan was thread painted on winter white wool felt, then applied to silk and batik background. My first attempt at this technique and am thrilled with the results! Opens up a ginormous window of possibilities...

Oh, My Stars!

Quilt done for a guild challenge. The blah tan leaf fabric and the garish gold print were the challenge, plus a certain number of other fabrics allowed. I had to get creative and use both the front and the other side of all the fabrics to get the contrast needed within the constraints. One of my favorite quilts that I have ever completed!

Wild Flowers Tumbling

Took very cheap, truly ugly fabric and saved it from the garbage can by applying the watercolor method of construction using 2 inch squares. Hand quilted.

Scrappy Table Topper

I have stacks of 5 inch squares, so I took a handful of them, cut them in half, inserted strips, squared them up and tadah! Instant baby scrappy quilt. Fun!

Scrappy Log Cabin

This is a charity quilt made for the quilt club I belong to. We give quilts to Childrens Orthopedic Hospital in Seattle, local Women's Crisis Support Center, dozens of fundraisers for people w/cancer and other life threatening diseases. One of our newest ventures was to join in w/the 1 million pillowcase drive. Only 4 created so far, and sent those to Ronald McDonald House by Children's O.H., Seattle, WA.
